KZ Tandingan eliminated from ‘Singer’ but thankful for the experience

The journey of Filipino artist KZ Tandingan in Chinese singing competition "Artist 2018" may have officially ended; however, she certainly made the country proud for exhibiting her immense talent.

KZ Tandingan during her last performance on ‘Singer 2018’ (Instagram) KZ played out Lorde's "Royals" yet was sent home in the long run in the Friday scene of "Singer 2018." Fellow contender James Li likewise didn't make the cut. Teary-eyed, the vocalist clad in green coat said her goodbye to her kindred competitors, including British artist Jessie J. “This is bigger than I have ever been. I never imagined I would get this far. I only wanted to stay for one show. I’m really honored to be on one stage with all of you. I will never forget this experience. My tears are a mix of happy and sad tears because I’m going to miss all of you. I hope to see you guys next time. I love you,” KZ said onstage. Jessie J, whom KZ has turned upward to from that point forward, gave her a major embrace and rousing words. The "Electric lamp" artist has dependably been vocal about her reverence for KZ's ability. “You’re amazing. Let’s stay in touch, please. You really did a great job and you represented the Philippines, really truly,” Jessie J told KZ. In a meeting after her elimination, KZ shared her learnings being with vocalists from different nations, who share the same passion for music. While they speak different languages, KZ was able to connect with them and made friends. “I’ve learned to accept that we have differences with the culture. Music connects people. All of those help coped up with homesickness and fear. The whole journey was not scary as I thought it would be because they were there,” she said. KZ's path in the "Singer 2018" began on the fifth episode where she ranked first after her exceptional execution of Adele's "Rolling in the Deep." In the accompanying scenes, KZ played out a blend of Madarin melodies where she placed 6th and furthermore "Say Something" where she ranked fourth. In the March 9 episode, KZ sang Sheryl Crow's "Real Gone" and placed 6th. “Overwhelming response. We really never thought something like this could happen to me. I’m just really proud to be the first Filipino in ‘Singer 2018,'” she said in a previous clip. As far back as KZ joined the show, netizens and her fans have never neglected to give her help, particularly via web-based networking media. KZ took to Twitter to offer her thanks. “I close my eyes because faith is seeing for me. I did everything I could, but the results are out of our control. I’m going home tomorrow with a happy heart. This won’t be the last time the world will hear a Filipino sing her heart out. Thank You Lord! Mabuhay ang Pilipinas,” KZ tweeted.
